Solas operates a flexible approach to volunteering, we offer placements to both internal volunteers (people we support) and external volunteers (people we do not support) as well as providing a wide range of placements for students and interns.

There are many ways in which you can get involved:

Volunteer Application Form

One off Events

One off events take place throughout the year and are a great opportunity for both internal and external volunteers along with staff to come together to complete a project. These projects are organised by the Volunteer Coordinator and are advertised via the website, through mail shots to existing volunteers and through our Twitter and Facebook pages.

Short term placements

These include placements in college holidays for students/interns, short term projects advertised to cover specific roles or activities.

Permanent roles

These voluntary positions are very popular with ‘External’ volunteers, they are longer term or more permanent placements for specific roles. The role profiles are advertised in our Current Opportunities section.
