Compass students receive qualifications
Compass, which now provides education, training and learning as an outreach service to all residents in Solas’ accommodation schemes, were proud to host its 4th presentation event for students on 16 February. Corporate Director, Rhian Stone and Compass Manager, Wendy Carrie welcomed the students and congratulated them on their achievements. Students were presented with their certificates by Inspector Chris Watts of Gwent Police, who is also a Solas Board member.
Qualifications presented on the day included the OCN ‘Eat Clever’ and ‘Know your computer’ certificates, CIEH Food Safety (Level 2) and IOSH Manual Handling certificates.
Compass would like to thank Mike Davies from Lovells who ran the IOSH Manual Handling Course, Jen Jones, Solas’ Catering Project Worker and Ann Howells and Rachel Stevens from Newport Community Learning, who enabled Compass to teach the OCN accredited courses.
Lastly, many congratulations and well done to all the students!
